Motivational Exercising Quote and Cartoon…

You know what they say – what doesn’t kill you makes you mentally stronger.

True. That strength may not come immediately after hardship. Sometimes it shows up awhile after, but I believe in most cases this is true.

Motivational cartoon of brown bear doing exercise curls on a bench using a bear trap to work against instead of a dumbbell. What doesn't kill you makes you mentally stronger!

Becoming mentally stronger – Sometimes it’s true, sometimes it’s false. Certainly some people are made much weaker from traumatic experiences… the experience doesn’t kill them but they never recover fully. Some people manage to come out the better for it. It really depends on the person and the experience.

I always try and pick out the positives from a bad situation – I become mentally stronger for it!

Cartoon to illustrate – No FREE lunches!

“There ain’t no free lunches in this country. And don’t go spending your whole life commiserating that you got the raw deals. You’ve got to say, ‘I think that if I keep working at this and want it bad enough I can have it.’ It’s called perseverance.”

Lee Iacocca
Businessman and Former CEO of Chrysler

Perseverence - I want it bad enough!

Perseverance. - I want it bad enough!

Here’s a few of my other favourite motivational and inspirational quotes…

The difference between perseverance and obstinacy is that one comes from a strong will, and the other from a strong won’t. – Henry Ward Beecher

Don’t be afraid to give your best to what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves. – Dale Carnegie

When the world says, “Give up,”
Hope whispers, “Try it one more time.”

Thinking Outside The Box…

Thinking Outside The Box…

Here’s one of three cartoons I recently completed for Max Halberg of 50Media

Creative Media Solutions

“We like to think outside the box. This is a broad term because we don’t want to limit ourselves. Depending on what it is you do we’d love to brainstorm some great methods to increase your online exposure whether it be through video, graphics, or social media networks.” ~ Max Halberg
