“If you have only one smile in you, give it to the people you love. Don’t be surly at home, then go out in the street and start grinning ‘good morning’ at total strangers.” Maya Angelou Poet, Writer and Performer
Don’t do a good job, do a FANTABULOUS job! Your consistent
behavior in your life translates into excellence, and that
is what your employer rewards.
* Be consistent
* Do a great job – in fact, do a fantastic job!
* Do more than expected – go the EXTRA mile!
Going The Extra Mile!
This cartoon was produce for my local Chamber of Commerce who had it printed up as a Thank You card for employee’s who had done well in their jobs. Nice little touch!
Here’s the eighth cartoon in my A-Z of Positive Thinking cartoons. I think this is the last one I drew. The monthly magazine I was doing them folded shortly afterwards – nothing to do with my cartoons!
H is for Honesty!
“Honesty is the best policy. If I lose mine honor, I lose myself.”– William Shakespeare
“Honesty is the cornerstone of all success, without which confidence and ability to perform shall cease to exist.” – Mary Kay Ash
Honesty is like an icicle; if once it melts that is the end of it –

Groucho Marx inspirational and motivational quotes!
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.
More Groucho Marx quotes that made smile…
A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere.
I intend to live forever, or die trying.
I must say I find television very educational. The minute somebody turns it on, I go to the library and read a good book.
“Remember, success is not measured by heights attained but by obstacles overcome. We’re going to pass through many obstacles in our lives: good days, bad days. But the successful person will overcome those obstacles and constantly move forward.”
REASON # 11 – You have something that you have
always wanted to do, but never got around to doing
it. And you know you never will.
I always wanted to do what I am doing now…I just didn’t
realise it.
Now I am fulfilling my dream, against all the odds. Many
people I know wish that they could do this…or do that…
but they always somehow find an excuse why they can’t.
Everybody has an interest, hobby, or skill that they could
happily get lost in for a few hours. If you think that you
may not…you are probably not thinking hard enough!
The key to finding out what it is you really love to do is
to ask yourself this question –
“What thing would you happily pay to be able to do?”
If “watch TV” is the answer…you’ll have to try harder!
Sometimes…you may not even realise that you are doing it.
For example…I have a good friend of mine who is a good
talker…he could strike up a conversation with a passer-by
within 2 seconds of meeting them. It’s a talent that comes
naturally to him.
To me…he’s an ideal
– Network marketer
– Salesman
– Real estate agent
Or any number of occupations where “relationshipping” is the
key to getting on and being successful.
If he worked in one of those fields…I am sure that he
would be a success. Instead…he just ‘treads water’ in a
job that pays him well but he gets nothing from it.
All he needs is a job where he gets paid to talk!
Look into how you might be able to make a living from your
talent. Someone, somewhere must make money doing something
similar to what you like to do.
Make sure that if you really want to do something, turn the
‘but’ into a ‘how’ and go for it!
When commissioning cartoons… Pick TWO of the three options!
Good+Fast = Expensive Choose this and I’ll postpone every other project on my drawing board, my round of golf or give up my footy match ticket and work day and night to get your job done. It WILL NOT BE CHEAP though!
Good+Cheap = Slow Choose good and cheap and I’ll still do a great job at a discounted price. But you’ll have to be patient while I fit you in after my higher paying clients, updating my web site, going down the gym, my footy matches, rounds of golf and liquid lunches!
Fast+Cheap = Inferior Choose this option at your peril. It will still be delivered on time but it will be inferior, as many corners as possible will be cut. You know the saying ‘You get what you pay for!’ The least favorable option in my opinion!
