Here’s a cartoon I’ve just dug out of my archives – I drew it for a friend who’s young son had made it into the top ten UK tennis players under 12’s. But still needed something to lift him up the rankings…
I anticipate my opponents every move…
I anticipate the ball with clarity…
I anticipate my opponents every
manoeuvre…it’s easy for me…My focus and vision
of the ball is superb…I play each point as it
comes – I’m a point accumulator…I play each
point to win…I am a winner…I am a winnnnnnner!!!
My cat like reflexes put me in positions to hit
outstanding winners…I trust my instincts…I am a
very successful tennis player…I’m very confident…I
project a body language of confidence…What an
exciting player I am…I have a bounce in
my step -that springs me to my destination…
I move around the court with ease and
assurance…I’ve got the POWER in my legs
to reach any part of the court in lightening
fast speed…I pressurise my opponents into
mistakes…I pile on the pressure until
they subside and give up!
For years and years I’ve been referring back to Napoleon Hill’s 17 Principles of Personal Achievement – and I put a lot of my success down to this great man and his work. I was looking for a motivational project to work on in my spare time to practice my cartoon doodle scribing, so thought now that’s a good one to work on.
It looks like it will be a long drawn out project though – so here’s what I’ve done so far…
LISTEN TO Mr.Triumph…
I’m Mr. Triumph. I’m in charge of producing positive thoughts…thoughts
that help you go forward onto success…I give you reasons why you should
carry on. I’m here to work for you. It’s going to be a wonderful day full of opportunity!
IGNORE(Totally!) Mr.Defeat…
I’m Mr. Defeat. I’m in charge of negative thoughts…I’m full of reasons why
you can’t do something…I’m here to make you feel weak…to make you feel
inadequate. I’m a hard worker, I’ll be here all the time proving to you that a negative attitude is the one to go with ‘Loser’ is my middle name!
Good+Fast = Expensive Choose this and I’ll postpone every other project on my drawing board, my round of golf or give up my footy match ticket and work day and night to get your job done. It WILL NOT BE CHEAP though!
Good+Cheap = Slow Choose good and cheap and I’ll still do a great job at a discounted price. But you’ll have to be patient while I fit you in after my higher paying clients, updating my web site, going down the gym, my footy matches, rounds of golf and liquid lunches!
Fast+Cheap = Inferior Choose this option at your peril. It will still be delivered on time but it will be inferior, as many corners as possible will be cut. You know the saying ‘You get what you pay for!’ The least favorable option in my opinion!
