Sometimes opportunity knocks, but most of the time it sneaks up and then quietly steals away.
Don’t let the doors of opportunity open without you noticing them!

Ryan came up a big winner after being told to tidy up his bedroom by his mum
A TEENAGER who won £53,000 on the lottery came close to throwing his ticket in the bin – after being told to tidy his room by his mother.
Ryan Kitching, 19, was about to dispose of a pile of tickets while cleaning his room but luckily he changed his mind.
He later discovered one of the slips, for the February 8 draw, contained five numbers and the bonus ball.
Ryan, from Penicuik, Midlothian, said: “I’m on top of the world. I was so close to throwing the tickets away but then I just had a gut feeling about it.
“I found the tickets and I thought, ‘I’m taking my mum shopping, I’ll get them checked’.”
Ryan took his tickets to his local Tesco, where he and his mum both work, and found out he’d won.
As well as the £53,000 Ryan also scooped £2.80 on EuroMillions.
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won if he’d stuck it out.
Don’t give up, though the pace seems slow –
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up When he might have captured the victor’s cup,
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out –
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are –
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit –
It’s when things seem worst that you mustn’t quit.

I was having a chat with a friend over a drink in a bar when he told me this joke which I’ve now turned into a cartoon. So thanks go to him!
