Today we’ll have a look at ‘criticism’ – I always try to refrain from being critical when my wife is doing something I don’t want to do! Here’s a cartoon that was born out of a recent decorating project – along with a few of my favourite quotes…
Sandwich every bit of criticism between two thick layers of praise. ~ Mary Kay Ash
Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain.. and most fools do.~ Dale Carnegie
Don’t let anyone say you can’t do it. ~ John IlhanAnd my favourite…Never criticize your spouse’s faults; if it weren’t for them, your mate might have found someone better than you! ~ Jay Trachman
The above cartoon was produced for a ‘His ‘n’ Hers’ calendar some years ago.
Napoleon Hill’s work deserves to be illustrated in a cartoon doodle scribe!
For years and years I’ve been referring back to Napoleon Hill’s 17 Principles of Personal Achievement – and I put a lot of my success down to this great man and his work. I was looking for a motivational project to work on in my spare time to practice my cartoon doodle scribing, so thought now that’s a good one to work on.
Remember though, that cartoon whiteboard animations can be used to illustrate problem solving, product explainers, a new start up business or a presentation. Call Richard to discuss yours on 01246 209034 or email.
It looks like it will be a long drawn out project though – so here’s what I’ve done so far…
If you would like to commission a cartoon doodle scribe to promote your business or to explain how a product work call Richard on 01246 209034 or email.
If you’re going to make the incredible effort to be born, then why not live your life to the MAX. It makes sense, doesn’t it? Why do it half shod? Why only let the throttle out half way? Put your foot flat to the floor, spin the wheels, burn some rubber and let loose with a ‘Yahoo’ as you tear up the road in your supercharged hot rod of a life that is yours to live. Too many of us try to play it safe and at the end of the road we find ourselves trapped in self-imposed security. But you know and I know that there’s only one life to live, so let’s LIVE it.
I recently commissioned(Or tried to commission) a copywriter to do some copy for a web page I was putting together. I got excuse after excuse as to why things weren’t coming along very quickly. Which inspired the below cartoon…
Here’s some ‘excuses’ quotes to bear in mind…
Excuses are the nails used to build a house of failure. ~ Don Wilder and Bill Rechin
No one ever excused his way to success. ~ Dave Del Dotto
Luckily for you, you have the contact details of a cartoonist
who gets on with it and doesn’t make excuses! Call Richard on 01246 209034 or email
When commissioning cartoons… Pick TWO of the three options!
Good+Fast = Expensive Choose this and I’ll postpone every other project on my drawing board, my round of golf or give up my footy match ticket and work day and night to get your job done. It WILL NOT BE CHEAP though!
Good+Cheap = Slow Choose good and cheap and I’ll still do a great job at a discounted price. But you’ll have to be patient while I fit you in after my higher paying clients, updating my web site, going down the gym, my footy matches, rounds of golf and liquid lunches!
Fast+Cheap = Inferior Choose this option at your peril. It will still be delivered on time but it will be inferior, as many corners as possible will be cut. You know the saying ‘You get what you pay for!’ The least favorable option in my opinion!
